Bayview Community Centre’s Kereru Sign Initiative Takes Flight
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Bayview Community Centre has relaunched a unique initiative that’s capturing the imagination of residents and visitors alike. The centre has begun selling custom “We love our community, Bayview NZ” signs, featuring the beloved native wood pigeon, as a way to showcase local pride!
The Kereru signs are back due to popular demand from the community, making them a great Christmas present! The signs are close to selling out.
“Bayview locals take great pride in their community, and the signs are a fantastic way of showing that. With the abundance of native trees in our reserves and gardens, kereru are a frequent sight in Bayview’s skies and now also on fences around the neighbourhood. The Centre has thoroughly enjoyed working with RTL and we look forward to collaborating to create different iterations of the sign for future Bayviewians”
- Victoria Anderson, Community Engagement Facilitator, Bayview Community Centre.
The beautiful Bayview signs can be purchased from Victoria and her team at the community centre:
