In December 2024, A customer reached out to us. One of their old trucks had an arrow board that wasn't working, so they sent it to us to remove the old one and fit a new one. Upon inspection, we discovered that, not only was the arrow board not working but the surrounding signs and reflective materials had severely faded over time, compromising visibility. This presented an opportunity to not only address the immediate concern but also to enhance the overall functionality and compliance of the vehicle.

Our assessment found:

• Their existing arrow board had indeed malfunctioned and required replacement
• The surrounding signs and reflective materials were severely faded and needed to be replaced.
• The project would be a collaboration between our Factory and Service teams

Our technicians carefully removed the old arrow board from the truck, a process that required precision to avoid any damage to the surrounding structure. As with some jobs, there were welding spots preventing simple panel removal. So after some brainstorming, the team cut into the existing main panels from the frame to access installation points.

With the old system removed and the frame prepared, we moved on to the installation phase. Recognizing that off-the-shelf solutions wouldn’t suffice, our Factory team manufactured custom brackets designed to ensure a perfect fit for the new board. We then mounted a state-of-the-art Level 1 arrow board to the existing frame. This upgrade significantly enhanced the visibility and functionality of the signage system, bringing it in line with the latest safety standards.
