Empty Sandbags - 200 GSM HDPE

RTL heavy-duty empty sandbags are used across New Zealand for traffic management, construction and event setups where portable equipment needs to be stabilised. Manufactured from 200 GSM woven HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), RTL sandbags are UV stabilised for outdoor use and feature a textured woven surface that helps reduce slipping when used with portable equipment. This heavier construction provides greater tear resistance and durability compared with lighter sandbags.

Supplied empty, they offer a cost-effective option for contractors who prefer to fill sandbags at their depot using locally available sand or aggregate, typically weighing around 18-20kg when filled. They are commonly used to stabilise temporary signage, cones, portable traffic lights and temporary fencing, and are also frequently used with Level 2/ 3 sign stands (HKL bases), typically with one sandbag placed on each leg of the base.
